Hello!

Finally finished the reunion scene (the one where you meet up with everyone, including K) and we’re moving on to another environment. A lot of angst on this last part I wrote and in the scene that comes after it.

My plans included a more light hearted tone to this scene but while writing I realized that there’s no way that the characters can just accept this development calmly. So angst and pain it is.

I recently started to feel that the dark aspects of the dark fantasy genre are starting to become more apparent. I found myself wanting to delete possible scenes for chapter 5 (was outlining a few scenes) because they were too painful for reader, characters and MC (or at least it felt that way to me), but it’s a necessary scene so I have to keep it. Chapter 5 is when things start to plummet, but let’s focus on chapter 4 for now.

Strangely enough, the name of the chapter is “A quiet life”, but I feel like, for the time being, MC’s life is anything but. It’ll get better though! Once this initial turmoil is cleared up everyone should be able to relax a bit and have fun.

Anyways, I think I gave too much away already so let’s move on to the out of context phrase:
